On the Water Programming

Week-long Consecutive Day Programs


These programs are consecutive day programs meant for the same group of students and will build off the prior days learning.

  • 1-4 weeks in length
  • Monday-Friday 4-6hrs a day
  • Programs will focus on 3 areas - maritime skills, environment stewardship and leadership
 

Sound Exploration Overnight Voyages


These programs are overnight programs meant for the same group of students.

  • 3 days to 4 weeks in length (typically 4-5 days)
  • 5th grade and up
  • Up to 24 participants
  • Participants may be subject to Covid testing prior to trip based on current Covid guidelines
  • A deep dive into tall ship sailing, navigation, marine biology, community building and maritime history

Sound Studies Day Programs


These programs are 3-5 hour day programs meant for the same group of students.

  • Grades 3rd and up
  • Up to 35 participants
  • NGSS connecting content. Intro to tall ship sailing, navigation, marine biology, community building and maritime history

  • Asynchronous and synchronous options through Nearpod and similar platforms
  • Opportunities to include Sound Experience virtual speaker series, Dock Talks
 

Washington's First Approved On-The-Water Outdoor School!

We are excited to share that Outdoor Schools Washington has issued the Seal of Assurance for the satisfactory completion of the Washington State Safety & Management Review.

"Sound Experience has provided documentation and appropriate evidence of safety with their policies and procedures to minimize risk for staff and students.
