Pay What You Can • Sail More • Support Youth Education
At Sound Experience, we believe access to the Salish Sea should be welcoming and inclusive. That’s why our memberships operate on a pay-what-you-can model.
For the past two years, this approach has helped us welcome new members, grow our community, and ensure that households can join at a level that feels comfortable and sustainable. We’re proud to continue this model in 2026 — because when more people can participate, everyone benefits.
If you’re wondering what level to choose, the table below shows both membership benefits and suggested value ranges based on typical use. These are guides, not requirements — we’re grateful for every member, at every level.

*Suggested ranges reflect the typical annual value of membership benefits for households who participate in public sails and programs. Members are always welcome to give above or below these ranges based on what feels right for them.
Many members choose a level that reflects the value they receive; others give more to help ensure programs remain accessible for youth and families. All are equally valued.
Choose the level that works best for your household, and help keep learning, stewardship, and adventure under sail thriving for the next generation.
Why Pay What You Can?
This model works because it reflects our values:- Access — welcoming people at different financial stages
- Trust — honoring that members will give what they can
- Community — growing a broader circle of people connected to Adventuress and the Salish Sea
