Party for Adventuress

Two photos show guests at the fundraising gala of Sound Experience, a nonprofit that's focus is youth education on the water, specifically a 111-year-old National Historic Landmark sailing ship, the schooner Adventuress.

Because every young person deserves a place on deck—and a future on the water

Party for Adventuress is Sound Experience’s biggest—and most joyful—night of the year, bringing together an incredible community of supporters to celebrate access, education, and care for the Salish Sea. This lively fundraising event directly supports youth maritime and environmental education aboard Adventuress, the 1913 historic sailing ship that serves as a floating classroom for young people across our region—many experiencing the water for the very first time.

Your participation helps ensure students of all backgrounds can learn by doing: sailing, science, teamwork, and stewardship, all on the water. Join us by attending the party, inviting friends, sponsoring the event, or making a gift—and be part of a community that believes every young person deserves a place on deck and a future connected to the sea.

The schooner Adventuress is recognized as a National Historic Landmark, a designation reserved for places of exceptional historical value in the United States. Through Sound Experience, this living landmark continues to serve a modern purpose—educating and inspiring young people while fostering stewardship of the Salish Sea.

Sound Experience’s programs take place within the Salish Sea, a biologically rich inland marine ecosystem recognized for both its beauty and fragility. By connecting youth directly to this environment, the organization helps cultivate lifelong caretakers of the waters that define our region.
